The Sheraton is close to the island's city center, featuring a variety of restaurants and shopping.
Sheraton guests can enjoy ocean views as they dine at a beachside restaurant. Guests can relax in the pool, visiting the poolside bar for margaritas and appetizers. The hotel also feeatures tennis courts and a health club. Sheraton staff members provide children's activities throughout the day. The hotel's beach sundeck, the largest in South Padre, is a popular venue for viewing the beautiful Texas sunsets.
Many guestrooms feature private balconies with ocean views. Both standard and condominium-style guestrooms are available, complete with refrigerators, coffeemakers and complimentary wireless Internet access. Turndown service is available upon request. The Sheraton South Padre makes for a wonderful resort accommodation at one of Texas' most popular vacation spots.
Spring Break Policy (March, 2006):
Guests must register in person; groups should stay together to expedite check-in. A room-condition checklist must be reviewed, signed, and returned to the front desk within one (1) hour after check-in.
Photo identification is required from each guest during registration. All guests must be at least 18 years old, or must present a notarized letter from a legal guardian assuming financial responsibility for any property damages caused by the minor's stay. This letter should indicate that the minor holds the hotel and its agents harmless for the minor's well-being and actions while on spring break.
Guests planning to use the credit card or credit card number of a non-registered person (such as parent or guardian), must give advance notice to the hotel via a credit card authorization form. An original copy of this form may be obtained from the hotel by calling the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking via this Web site. Any guest attempting to use a credit card or credit card number without this form will be refused.
A room damage deposit of $50 cash per person is due at registration and is refundable at check-out, providing there are no room damages. Credit cards cannot be used for damage deposits. The damage deposit will only be refunded to individuals with a room deposit receipt.
At registration, a nonrefundable fee of $10 per registered guest will be charged for a security bracelet. Replacement of a damaged or broken bracelet will be made free of charge if the original bracelet is returned to the front desk along with photo identification. Without the original damaged or broken bracelet, a $25 fee will be charged for a replacement.
No refunds of any payments, including damage deposits, will be made in the event of early departures or evictions.
Each registered guest is allowed to have one (1) visitor on the guest floors 8 AM-8 PM. All visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times. Access to all room floors is restricted to registered guests 8 PM-8 AM. Security personnel will escort anyone without a security bracelet out of the resort.
A registered guest wishing to have a visitor on the guest floors must purchase a one-night visitor bracelet for $25. Any visitor found on the property without the accompanying guest will forfeit the visitor bracelet without refund.
