Rising 12 stories above the cobalt waters of South Padre Island, Texas, 100 yards from the beach and one-half mile from the South Padre Island Convention Center, the Bahia Mar Resort is a relaxing destination for travelers. Guests of the 15-acre tropical resort can enjoy a variety of water sports and fun in the sun. The Bahia Mar Resort features two outdoor pools, a children's pool, tennis, shuffleboard and volleyball courts and a putting green. Fitness equipment and laundry facilities are also available. The Bahia Breezer Restaurant & Lounge has a poolside terrace and serves traditional favorites with a breakfast buffet, lunch, cocktail hour and dinner menu. During spring break season, live entertainment is featured. The 195 contemporary guestrooms of the Bahia Mar Resort offer private balconies or patios with views of the Gulf and pool area, or the Laguna Madre Bay and South Padre Island. Most guestrooms feature kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwave ovens, coffeemakers and cable television. Dial-up Internet access is available for a fee. Please Note: Arrivals between the last weekend in February through the first week in April require a damage deposit at check-in time of $200. This fee is refundable at check-out pending a room inspection. Guests are required to purchase wristbands during this time. Wristbands are $20 per person. Driving Information

From Harlingen/Valley International Airport: Take Loop 499 West (which becomes Ed Carey Road). Take Hwy. 77 South to Exit 100E. Continue through Port Isabel and over the Isabella Causeway. Turn left on Padre Blvd. Drive approximately 2.5 miles to the hotel. The Wave complimentary shuttle and SurfTran run between the airport and the Bahia Mar Resort on a regular schedule.
