Description: Hotel Crescent Court |
The Hotel Crescent Court, providing elegant, European- style accommodations, serves as the leading landmark in Uptown, a fashionable urban area of Dallas just north of downtown. Designed by famed architect Philip Johnson, the hotel is the anchor of The Crescent Complex, home to upscale galleries, shops and three 18-story office towers. The Hotel Crescent Court is near Dallas' central business, arts and historical districts, the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Dallas Museum of Art and the affluent Park Cities. Upon arrival, guests drive through wrought-iron gates into a courtyard with three granite-and-limestone fountains, lush garden landscaping and a small forest of trees lit at night by thousands of tiny lights. The hotel lobby is a spectacular Great Hall with an impressive two-story vaulted ceiling, limestone walls, custom furnishings, stunning fresh flowers and grand French windows.
The Crescent Court offers 191 guestrooms, each elegantly decorated in beige, gold and accents of red, with mahogany furniture and French doors that open to balconies with views of the courtyard or pool area. Amenities include custom bedding with 480- thread-count sheets, down pillows, richly hued Matelasse bedspreads, custom-made desks and laptop-compatible safes. The 29 one- and two-story suites resemble apartments with private kitchens and dining rooms. Hardwood floors complement a range of luxuries, from sound systems to fine art and antiques.
Dining options at the Crescent Court feature the heralded arrival of Nobu, an innovative New Style Japanese restaurant. Created by celebrated chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, Nobu is set to open in June 2005. Hotel guests also may dine at the Crescent Club, an exclusive private club open daily on the 17th floor of the center office tower.
The 22,000-square-foot Spa at the Crescent is a well-known retreat, offering 77 treatments including scrubs, wraps and massages, and encompasses a comprehensive fitness center and spa cafe.
The hotels allow pets up to 50 pounds.
